Bobcat Central Inc. was first opened on December 1, 1976.  At that time, the skid steer was a new concept for the Central Valley.  The main selling points were the size, maneuverability and versatility of the Bobcat.  Word of Bobcat's dependability and versatility spread and sales increased.  Bobcat Central in Stockton, California is the current Bobcat equipment dealer for San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Calaveras, Tuolumne and Merced, CA counties.

In 1998, Bobcat Central acquired the Kubota tractor line and Big Valley Tractor was founded.  Kubota has a Harvest Rental program which enables growers to rent tractors during harvest.  Big Valley Tractor in Stockton, CA is an equipment dealer that serves San Joaquin, Calaveras and Amador counties in California.
